Facts about Kupe
Kupe
Did you know that Kupe had 2 daughters named Matiu and
Makaro and Kupe was married to a lady called Hine-te-Aparangi. She
named the Island Aotearoa and in english it means Land of the Long
White Clouds and kupe had a dog . Dogs are very good hunters. They
hunt birds like kiwi,Tui,Kereru,Pukeko but dogs can be eaten by thier owners
when they are hungry. Kupe came from Polinisia and sailed from there.
He sailed to different islands and he found New Zealand after Christ and other
Islands too. When Kupe was travelling, he fought a giant Wheke that
was in the sea . Did you know that Wheke means octopus and kuri means
dog in te reo Maori. Some people think that Kupe lived in Tauranga and he
left a mark on a stone on a marae in Tauranga.

Music
On Friday the 20th of September room 25 and I went to go do music with Mr Lakatani.
We had station one, two, three, four and five. Station one was Ukulele station two was Guitars station
Three was Marimba station four was African drums and station five was Drums. I was in Guitar Marimba African drums then Drums. it was all difficult to do all of them and we Learned some
new Quavers and had fun.
